Program Operations & Events Coordinator
Role Description
Network community-based events often involve multiple First Book Canada stakeholder representatives, including but not exclusively, school-based educators, corporate volunteers, authors & illustrators and book publishers.
These programs and/or events are generally funded by corporate partners who have specific volunteer engagement & reporting needs and involve coordinating with our publishing partners on acquiring specific books on certain timelines.
Projects are often organized against tight timelines and require detailed levels of organization, communication and time management.
There are often multiple projects running at any one time and all throughout the year. The Program Operations & Events Coordinator will be expected to take the lead on coordinating all detail of the project(s) and maintaining consistent internal comms amongst the First Book Canada team as a whole, so that those responsible for confirming elements of the project are supported in meeting deadlines and external parties are updated regularly.
Ideal skill set: demonstrated, detailed project management, proficiency with Excel, demonstrated time management, proficient communications in English and French.
